children's Mattress

A child is much in bed. Therefore, it is important that a mattress is safe and of good quality. Consider the following criteria:

  • The mattress should be firm. Your child can not lift the mattress itself. Your child can not come under the mattress.
  • The mattress should fit snugly in the crib. You should be able to put the mattress in the bed easily, but there should be no space between the mattress and the side walls. Otherwise, your child may come between the mattress and the side of the cot.
  • The mattress should not be too soft, because the face of your child can sink into the mattress. Your child may choke. You can check for yourself whether the mattress is not too soft, press flat with your hand and outstretched arm on the mattress. If all is well, press the mattress but a small piece in.
  • The mattress should be flat.
  • Never buy a mattress with a plastic cover. A disadvantage of plastic is that it is hot. A plastic mattress does not allow fresh, clean air. Your child can choke thereby.
  • Do not use a mattress with grains. The head of your child falls in this way. If your child rolls on his belly, it might choke.
